Animated Feature

An ambitious hand-drawn animated feature written, directed and animated by BAFTA 60 Seconds of Fame and RTS award winning filmmaker Ryan Braund.

‘In an escalating battle of two minds, a reclusive programmer is plunged into a terrifying, mind-bending revelation as he becomes exposed to the social engineering of his own sentient supercomputer.’

Absolute Denial is currently enjoying an incredibly successful festival run including a Cristal award nomination at the world’s leading animation festival, Annecy International, as well as screenings at Shanghai Int’l FF, Sitges, Edinburgh FF and many more. Produced by BAFTA winning, Oscar nominee Chris Hees and being sold worldwide by SC Films International.

“The whole raison for this film was to try and fill a gap in the Western market for adult-themed animated features. I really love watching animation and I love watching sci-fi, action and thrillers, it just seemed crazy to me that the only place to really get great mature animation is in Asia. I remember watching Ghost in the Shell for the first time when I was younger and being blown away that animation could be used for such sophisticated storytelling and be so cool at the same time! I still love Asian cinema but I’d love to see more films like this written and produced in the West!”
