As a writer, Jon has a particular love of the thriller and horror. He currently has a portfolio of three features and one TV-pilot script, with another pilot in the works. Jon Addison uses his challenging childhood and early life experiences of paranoia to explore messy, complex characters navigating identity, trauma, and this crazy world we live in.

Neurodiverse and hailing from a tiny rural Yorkshire town, Jon writes from the working poor’s perspective to tell thrilling stories of struggling souls. After escaping his hometown, Jon worked as a 1st AD and editor for five years. He then went on to write and produce his debut short-thriller, Property. Since then, Jon has built up editorial experience through script reading and script editing, all the while developing a diverse body of screenplays.

Enthusiastic about his work as a Script Editor, Jon is contagiously passionate about storytelling and supporting screenwriters. Deeply empathetic and tuned into their individual needs, Jon is particularly adept at motivating and championing writers, helping lift their work to the next level.
