Nick Addison

Directing Cameraman, Editor and Owner, Tracking-shot

Nick wasn’t always like this.

He started his working life with 4 years in Accountancy, before realising that not only was it rather boring but he also wasn’t very good at it! Noticing that what he really enjoyed doing was creating new things Nick moved into New Product Development and the car industry. A decade later he made the jump to turn his developing video hobby into a business.

Nick still works extensively within the automotive industry, producing training content and event videos for manufacturers including BMW/MINI, Rolls-Royce and VW Group, as well as vehicle finance companies. He also has experience in construction, fire and rescue and many other areas from which he now has all sorts of knowledge that may or may not come in handy one day.

Although he considers himself to be mainly an Editor, Nick is also pretty handy with a camera, self-shooting smaller projects and leading the camera team on larger shoots. Nick uses DaVinci Resolve for all projects now, but has over 15 years experience of Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Nick’s other passions include live music and he has worked on the backing visuals for shows for a variety of big name artists, and as cameraman on live DVDs and live concert streams from Manchester, London and Amsterdam. Recently Nick was Field Director for the reunion section of F**K IT UP, the documentary about the band Towers of London.
